davidpattersonx · x · 2026-11-06
Turing Award winner David Patterson laid out an aggressive timeline:
- By end of 2026: SI reaches superintelligence and general intelligence — capable of innovation and doing full jobs;
- By 2028: capable of innovating in everything and better than humans at every job;
- By 2030: as good as it will ever get, hitting the maximum limit of intelligence and generality.
One of the more optimistic AGI timelines voiced in the industry.
