Vinod Khosla: AI plus quantum computers will break most encryption before 2030

Investor Vinod Khosla says AI models combined with quantum computers will break most of today's encryption before 2030, calling crypto "the most vulnerable." He expects quantum machines to run Shor's algorithm well before 2030, and notes encrypted data is already being harvested for later decryption.
He argues the post-quantum algorithms now being deployed only make the math harder, buying 6–12 months, and expects most of them to break before 2030. Lasting security, in his view, must come from quantum encoding itself, not harder equations. Full video on the WSJ Events YouTube channel.
