Runway launched Dev plugins for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor: a single install connects your coding agent via the Runway Dev MCP and adds skills for building with the API.
- Setup: the agent reads your account's projects, models, prices, limits and credit balance; no API key stored in the plugin.
- Building: skills guide use of official SDKs; the agent can create a Model Router to pick models per request, Characters for real-time avatars, or build on Runway's Recipes and team-published Workflow endpoints.
- Debugging: on failure the agent queries error details and sees why a Model Router chose a given model.
Describe a feature like "a product video for every store item" and the agent builds it end-to-end without leaving the editor.
