Anthropic Pledges $100M to Train 10,000 Frontier Engineers; Critic Says Outcomes, Not Workshops, Are the Test
krishnan · x · 2026-11-06
Commenting on Anthropic's October 2 launch of Claude Frontier Academy — a $100M commitment targeting 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by end of 2027 — krishnan praises the design: engineers arrive with a named project from their own organization, run a simulated enterprise deployment, pass a graded practical, then enter a 12-week residency building a real use case followed by another assessment. But he stresses these are commitments, not delivered outcomes, and argues the real test isn't course completion but whether customers can operate and adapt the system after the vendor steps back.
