burhop · x · 2026-11-06
Physicist Alex Wissner-Gross posted an AI-industry parody of A Tale of Two Cities' opening: "the age of recursive self-improvement, the age of data center bans, the epoch of intelligence explosions, the season of acceleration, the spring of superintelligence, the winter of compute."
Another user continued the bit: "the age of advanced AI engineering, the age of people getting certified in CAD drawing creation" — a jab at how ordinary skills fare while AI coding races ahead. The thread is resonating across the AI community.
