Chris Albon: Vibe-coded businesses will regress to the mean; moats return to 100k agents
chrisalbon · x · 2026-11-06
AI engineer Chris Albon agrees with a quoted take: before AI, nothing you could code in a week was a viable business because too many people had already built it. That rule is temporarily suspended, but he expects regression to the mean.
Once everything vibe-codeable has been vibe coded, viable businesses will require things that can't be copied with a prompt — such as 100,000 agents running 24/7 or an original data source. The real opportunity, he argues, is giving people more powerful AI-enabled tools rather than lowering friction for basic creation.
