UBS: Aspeed Has Secured 2027 BMC Orders on Strong Agentic AI Server Demand
BenBajarin · x · 2026-11-06
Ben Bajarin shares UBS's note on BMC chip maker Aspeed: the company has received meaningful BMC orders for 2027, driven by demand from agentic AI-related CPU servers and GPU/ASIC servers.
Key points from the note:
- Aspeed's BMC supply should gradually improve in coming quarters;
- It eased substrate constraints by engaging vendors earlier and using less-constrained E-glass BT substrate for the new AST2700;
- Long-term agreements with two major OSATs lock in cost and supply for the next two years.
This signals agentic AI server demand is rippling up into management chips and the OSAT supply chain.
