Aina launches $399 smart ring that surfaces proactive AI cues and agent approvals

Startup Aina has launched the Aina Ring, a smart ring with a small display priced from $399 (pre-order, normally $499), pitched as a new interface for the proactive AI era.
- Cues: the ring learns your calendar and routines, then predicts and displays the next three things you'll need — a join button before a meeting, or an approval for an AI agent's work — completed with a thumb flick
- Voice: hold a button to book rides, take notes, or talk to your agents
- Remote / Mac controls / Calls: gesture control for media and TV, per-app gestures on Mac (swipe up to approve an agent's next step), and answer/decline calls from the ring
The pitch: AI is proactive but still requires unlocking your phone and tapping approve hundreds of times a day — the ring gives that approval loop a dedicated surface. Commenter kimmonismus flags the open question of how it decides when to interrupt versus stay quiet.
