On its Q3 earnings call, Uber revealed that during its busiest week (Halloween week) it handled about 320 million trips and orders across Uber and Uber Eats—but only 4 rides were booked through an AI agent, and roughly 500 Uber Eats orders came from agents. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi called the traction "very, very early and very limited," a rare hard data point against the narrative that AI agents will soon take over consumer transactions.
