In defense of advanced AI: progress has always been driven by a defiant minority

Responding to calls to halt advanced AI development, the author argues human progress has always been a tiny minority of visionaries dragging the rest of humanity forward while the majority doubts, mocks, or resists change — only to enjoy the fruits later. Without that minority, civilization would still be at medieval levels.
