GitHub's State of the Octoverse report shows AI-generated code is rapidly taking over:
- Over 40% of pull requests are agent-generated, up from roughly 17% in March
- 110M PRs were started by an agent in September 2026 alone
- Agent-generated PRs grew 6x in six months
The poster argues the industry is shifting fast, making now a good time to build with agents.
