Cognition has officially unveiled SWE-2 Flash, a new fast and efficient coding model.
- On leading evals it outperforms all American open-weight models, including ones 3x larger
- Reposters highlight it nearly matches SWE-2 at roughly 1/10 the size, pointing toward "intelligence too cheap to meter"
- To balance transparency with cyber risks, Cognition is building a program to securely share model weights with partners and researchers
