OpenAI's Dot agent proactively delivers sharp earnings-call nuggets from chat context
firstadopter · x · 2026-11-05
Blogger firstadopter shares that his OpenAI Dot agent, unprompted, started sending genuinely useful nuggets from tech earnings calls based on prior conversations. Screenshots show high-quality summaries: Astera Labs' Q3 revenue of $584.9M (+49% QoQ, above guidance) with Scorpio becoming its largest product family; AMD's Jean Hu saying Q4 should be the first quarter data-center AI revenue exceeds server CPU revenue, plus a raised 100% 2027 server CPU growth outlook; HIVE's $165M GB200 cluster for Cohere financed with $129M of 9% three-year debt and debt-funded "equity"; and Fabrinet's CEO guiding near-packaged optics revenue to 2H fiscal 2027. He argues agents will be a mega trend as personalization context improves, and notes he still lacks access to Anthropic's Claude Duet.
