quiet.md goes open source: Rust+GPUI editor, Feishu-compatible, ~5ms frames on 1M-char docs
dotey · x · 2026-11-05
quiet.md is now open source — a local-first rich text editor for macOS/Windows (beta).
- Speed: Built with Rust + GPUI, rendered directly on GPU with no WebView; typing in a 1,000,000-character doc takes 5ms per frame.
- Local-first: No account, offline by default; notes are plain XML files that agents like Claude Code can read and edit.
- Feishu-compatible: Supports most Lark doc blocks and interactions, minus cloud features.
