UMAP 0.6 adds Adam and momentum layout optimizers, becoming defaults in 0.7

UMAP author Leland McInnes previews 0.6 release features: two new layout optimizers based on Adam and momentum (the original retained for compatibility), with docs covering differences, interactions with initialization and DensMAP, and when advanced negative sampling helps.
- UMAP fitting has two stages: weighted nearest-neighbor graph construction, then low-dimensional layout; optimizer controls the second stage
- New features are opt-in in 0.6 (set compatibilitylayout=False) and become defaults in 0.7
- Docs benchmark optimizer timing on 70K-sample MNIST, noting Numba first-call compilation warm-up
