Orbital engineers use AI OS CurieOS to draft two-phase cold plate designs

Orbital Industries says its engineers start each cold plate design for their Two-Phase Direct-to-Chip Cooling System with a first draft from CurieOS, the company's AI operating system for science and engineering. In a two-phase loop, pumped liquid boils in a controlled way inside the cold plate and returns to the CDU as a liquid-vapor mix, so fluid thermophysical properties set line sizes and head losses through every fitting. CurieOS takes those properties plus system requirements to quickly propose specs and initial designs; engineers then hunt for weak points and apply judgment, with the AI iterating alongside the team so revised designs come back much faster.
