Anthropic's Cat Wu departs, recalls joining after building RL envs with Claude Code
MaziyarPanahi · x · 2026-11-04
Cat Wu announced her last day at Anthropic. In her farewell post she recalls joining the Claude Code team two years ago after having Claude build an RL environment—steering it for tens of hours without manually writing a line of code. She also notes how usage has shifted: at launch most users hand-approved every permission prompt and used Claude mainly for Q&A and writing tests; today the workflow is transformed.
