sloperator: an open-source linter+MCP that shrinks bloated LLM prose
ResponsibilityDear96 · reddit · 2026-11-04
Reddit user ResponsibilityDear96 released sloperator, an open-source linter plus MCP server that makes prose shorter and plainer — whether written by humans or LLMs.
- Motivation: as someone shipping lots of code and docs, the author got tired of prompting agents to 'say less' while three-line answers still came back as six paragraphs
- Implementation: pure heuristics + traditional NLP, optionally augmented with a small language model
- Already wired into the author's CI pipeline, early results described as pretty good
