Midjourney experiment: movie posters from just two prompt words + sref codes
sergeantsref · x · 2026-11-04
sergeantsref ran a Midjourney experiment: generating movie poster concepts using only the two-word prompt "movie poster", steering style entirely via different --sref reference codes (1/11 in a thread). The results show that style references alone can produce strikingly diverse, authentic-looking posters — folk-art woodcut, 70s photorealism, kaiju cityscapes, Japanese typographic design, and collage styles. Follow-up replies list the sref codes for each image so others can reuse them.
