Maker Builds a Local Digital Twin With LTX 2.3 + Cloned Voice to Host His Documentary Channel
Moist-Spring4883 · reddit · 2026-11-04
The creator of the Historic Murders documentary channel uses it as a production lab for generative AI: every episode is hosted by his digital twin — his face and cloned voice, rendered locally on an RTX 5090.
Pipeline details:
- Avatar: LTX 2.3 in ComfyUI, conditioned on a still photo and cloned voice (Qwen3-TTS), syncing lips, eyes and head to the script.
- Identity checks at six points per take; a drift (a smile appearing at shot end) was fixed by rendering in a single native pass.
- Period shots generated with FLUX.1 LoRAs he trained per era.
- What failed: a Character Creator 5 3D head (likeness too far off) and his first in-house face model.
Full ComfyUI graph and side-by-side tests are on his site; he's asking how others keep likeness stable over long LTX shots.
