Descript launches Underlord AI editing assistant, unifying animate, layouts, search
descript · x · 2026-11-04
Descript shipped an update that collapses several scattered video-editing workflows into one place:
- Animate Text: line animations that previously needed a dedicated tab
- Layouts: titles and layouts handled automatically
- Search: find the clip you swear you imported without digging
- Underlord: a new in-app AI editing assistant tying these capabilities together
The pitch: "You can close a few of those tabs now," consolidating editing, animation and layout into a single workflow.
