Zero-shot mobile manipulation demo stacks Dream-1 policy, MCP planner and ROS nav

Dream Labs' Youliang Tan shared a side project: a zero-shot mobile manipulation task on the Dexmate robot, combining (1) the Dream-1 end-to-end manipulation policy, (2) an MCP-based sys2 agent planner, and (3) classical ROS navigation — with no data collection or training done on Dexmate itself. His takeaway: rather than debating methods, use the right tool call for the right problem — end-to-end for grasping, agents for planning, classical methods for locomotion.
