CoworkOS Debuts: Three-Layer Agent Coworker Framework Lifts Qwen3.6 by 9.76 Points
KyeGomezB · x · 2026-11-04
A team released CoworkOS, an open-source framework aiming to build a true "super AI coworker" handling both complex productivity tasks and long-horizon decision-making. Paper, code and demo are all public.
Three design pillars
- Three-layer cowork: main agent plans and accepts, a coordinator schedules, subagents execute sync/async
- Shared apps: humans and agents co-edit the same docs / CAD / Blender files via chat or direct edits
- Persistent runtime: hierarchical workspaces + semantic memory + background jobs, resumable and monitorable
Results
- Competitive with Codex and DeepSeek Harness across 12 productivity benchmarks plus 24 real deliverables
- RSI-native: 5 rounds of automated post-training lift Qwen3.6-35B-A3B from 33.19 to 42.95 (+9.76) on 8 benchmarks
