NVIDIA's Global Performance Tuner brings auto-tuning to TensorRT 11.1 for PyTorch
PyTorch · x · 2026-11-04
NVIDIA published a technical blog (amplified by the official PyTorch account) on reasoning about performance optimization for PyTorch models. It tackles questions like: what makes one compiled engine better than another, why do individually promising decisions fail end to end, and how should accuracy constrain performance optimization? The post introduces Global Performance Tuner, an automatic performance tuning feature released in TensorRT 11.1, and develops the discussion through an intuitive example and a mathematical framework.
