LangSmith BYOC goes GA on AWS, hits Beta on Azure and Google Cloud
LangChain · x · 2026-11-04
LangChain announced that LangSmith's Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) mode is now GA on AWS and in Beta on Azure and Google Cloud.
- Split architecture: LangChain runs the control plane (auth, org/workspace config, billing metadata, hashed API keys, static UI assets), while all sensitive data — traces, prompts, datasets, experiments, agent deployments, workspace secrets — stays in the customer's own cloud account.
- Multiple data planes: An organization can run several data planes split by region, environment, or business unit — e.g., production and staging in separate AWS accounts while an Azure-standardized unit runs its own deployment.
- Replaces self-hosting: Teams with strict compliance boundaries previously had to self-host and maintain stateful services, databases, and schema migrations themselves; with BYOC, LangChain provisions and operates the stack inside your VNet, including migration from self-hosted setups.
