Developer Open-Sources Cosmion: One-Command Image Generation for Claude Code and Other Agents
TheAverageJedi · reddit · 2026-11-03
Using Claude (mostly Opus 5.5, with speckit for planning), the author built Cosmion, a TypeScript CLI that lets agents lacking built-in image generation (Claude Code, OpenCode, Aider, Pi, etc.) call the OpenRouter Image API anytime, using any model in the directory. Highlights: built-in per-image pricing lookup for each model, recording real costs after the first generation for estimation; every image goes into a ledger, and cosmion history shows past spending. Cross-platform on Windows/macOS/Linux, installable globally via npm, with an agent skill for one-click setup—free and open source.
