Grok Build ships major upgrade: duplicate MCP results fix cuts context usage roughly in half
elonmusk · x · 2026-11-03
Grok Build (v1.0.74, running Grok 4.7 high) got a large performance and reliability update:
- Performance: long-running sessions use less memory; large JSON/log pastes no longer freeze the terminal; Linux file watching uses far less CPU; fewer unnecessary screen redraws from background subagents
- Interaction: the terminal is now a command center for multi-agent workflows—file paths, subagent IDs, background tasks, and PR numbers are clickable; workflow navigation jumps between phases and agents; @ file navigation reaches files outside the workspace
- Reliability: MCP tools built with FastMCP or the official MCP SDK no longer send duplicate results, roughly halving context usage for those calls; faster session resuming; shell approvals explain why commands were blocked; plus fixes for MCP auth, context window handling, and Windows/macOS stability
