A Reddit developer open-sourced agent-memory-mcp, targeting two common pain points of AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity: session amnesia and debugging loops.
- Persistent per-project memory: built on SQLite + FTS5 full-text search with zero dependencies, storing architectural memory and file-anchored gotchas
- Anti-loop dead-end tracking: records paths the agent already tried, preventing repeated failed attempts
- Usage: works with any MCP client via npx -y agent-memory-mcp, or installed as a plugin
The project is open source on GitHub with feedback and contributions welcome.
