Claude's 10 tips for the next decade of AI: run open models, avoid vendor lock-in
alex_verem · x · 2026-11-03
Asked for advice on the next 10 years of AI, Claude (screenshot shows Opus 5.5 High) produced a 10-point list: run an open model on your own computer; keep data copies no company controls; never let one AI company hold your whole workflow; verify AI answers before acting; think first, then ask AI; give agents the smallest access that gets the job done; treat RAM, GPUs and storage as assets; build skills needing your hands, judgment or trust; pay for tools you can leave; and read the terms before handing over your voice, face or files. A broadly shared anti-lock-in, keep-exits-open playbook.
