itch.io purges terabytes of AI slop, cites two-year-old anti-spam clause
ThomasSimonini · x · 2026-11-03
itch.io says it deleted terabytes of AI-generated model assets, telling users that being able to upload 10TB of poorly optimized AI models doesn't mean they should. The platform notes its quality guidelines have included an AI spam clause for over two years, and non-compliant pages can be removed from discovery features like browse, search, and recommendations.
