Open-source pipeline turns one prompt into a full animated reel — free, no video-gen APIs
_haiderfarooq · reddit · 2026-11-03
Developer haiderfarooq released paper-reel (MIT licensed): give it one prompt and Claude Code writes the whole short-form reel as code — paper props, a hatted mascot, word-by-word captions — with zero image/video-gen APIs. The free local voice model kokoro reads each line, whisper.cpp aligns word-level timestamps so props land exactly on the word naming them. One markdown file, one command; also runs in Codex, Gemini and Antigravity, no API keys. Caveats: first frames usually need manual nudging and re-render, macOS only. Example reel in the README.
