Devin alternatives for enterprise teams: Factory, Copilot, Codex compared
Available_Bit4986 · reddit · 2026-11-03
After trialing Devin with one squad—individual PRs were fine but enterprise use got complicated—the author spent two weeks surveying alternatives:
- Factory: the most-mentioned name; droids plug into existing ticketing/chat tools, clearly team-oriented
- GitHub Copilot coding agent: easiest if all-in on GitHub; assign an issue, get a draft PR from an Actions runner; great for small-scoped tickets
- OpenAI Codex: runs tasks in a cloud sandbox and hands back a PR; good for firing off small parallel tasks
- Orq AI software factory: broadest coverage—agents plan, build, test, review, and monitor from backlog to production with human approvals at critical steps, but early access and least battle-tested
The decider will be how each handles post-PR steps, where most of their lead time goes.
