Amazon-led HULK framework gives Unitree G1 humanoid the strength to pull a 300 kg cart
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-11-02
Researchers from Amazon, University of Michigan, UCLA and Caltech unveiled HULK, a whole-body control framework for the Unitree G1 humanoid.
Hardware demos show the robot pulling a cart loaded with 300 kg, carrying bulky objects and a refrigerator while walking, and performing power cleans and deadlifts.
The approach combines MPC, reinforcement learning, and safety constraints to coordinate arms, torso and legs under heavy loads and external forces. Paper, code, and an interactive browser demo are available.
