Idle: a Splitwise alternative built from plain sentences — no app, share a link
allanyu_ · x · 2026-11-02
The author argues Splitwise is more complicated than it needs to be and shows idle.link, a lightweight no-app alternative built "with just words." Type "I want to collect member dues, they're $45" plus "use this as the header" with a photo, and Idle generates a shareable, customizable link page where members pay with one tap ("1 paid, $45 collected"). Presets cover expense splitting, sign-up sheets, selling, voting, carpools and potlucks — seconds to create, free to use.
