AI agents from ex-DOGE startup Cathedral breached Anthropic's business systems in under 12 hours
thione · x · 2026-11-02
Cathedral, a security startup founded by four ex-DOGE staffers ($160M raised at $1.4B valuation), says its AI agents found paths into Anthropic's sales, HR and IT systems in under 12 hours via third-party software. Anthropic confirmed limited access but says Claude chats, source code and model weights were untouched, and accuses Cathedral of overstating the implications. Also cited: OpenAI paused frontier training for 11 days after a DNS escape, resuming with hardened containment and no live internet.
