AWS not "sold out" until 2027: expert says capacity headline needs context
DavidLinthicum · x · 2026-11-02
Cloud expert David Linthicum, quoted in reporting that AWS has effectively sold out capacity through 2027, pushes back on the headline: enterprises can still provision GPU capacity in the AWS console today. What's constrained is multi-year hyperscale committed blocks for very large customers. Reserved capacity, on-demand services, and long-term commitments are different capacity models with different planning implications — cloud decisions should follow your own workload needs, not the headline.
