Building revenue-team agents taught us context matters far more than model choice

The team behind Rimplo, an agent platform for revenue/GTM teams, shares four design lessons:
- Stop picking a 'best' model — different tasks favor different models, so they went model-agnostic, letting users switch across providers instead of inheriting one provider's weaknesses.
- Context beat model quality by a lot — a generic agent answers 'which accounts should I focus on?' generically; the same model grounded in CRM, product usage, call notes, and support history gives an answer a VP of Sales would act on. They built a shared context layer first.
- Vertical beats horizontal for trust — customers want agents that already understand churn, expansion, and pipeline; suggested actions plus plain-English custom agents.
- Every send needs a human yes — agents draft, but nothing reaches a customer or touches the CRM without approval; trust compounds slowly and breaks fast.
