MrBeast Spent $7M on a Cartoon Earning ~$15K in Ads to Sell Toys Like He-Man Did

MrBeast spent over $7M on his animated series 'MrBeast Lab,' which earned maybe $15,000 from YouTube ads in season one — then greenlit eight more episodes. The play mirrors 1980s toy-cartoon economics: in 1982 Mattel hired Filmation to build He-Man's cartoon, toy sales exploded, the FCC dropped its ban on program-length commercials in 1984, spawning Transformers and G.I. Joe. Moose Toys launched MrBeast Lab figures in July 2024, with the color-changing Mutators becoming America's best-selling action figure line.
