Open-source pixel-plays: browser games as isometric pixel dioramas, one JS file, zero dependencies
algo_diver · x · 2026-11-02
Developer AmirMushich open-sourced pixel-plays, a set of browser games rendered as isometric pixel dioramas (201 stars on GitHub). Each game is a single page of plain JavaScript with its own software rasteriser — no build step, no dependencies, no sprites or image assets.
Titles include Balote (bocce against a bot, first to 5), Stari Most (bridge diving), rooftop laundry and mini-ramp. MIT-licensed, playable at pixel-plays-ruby.vercel.app. The author credits Claude (Opus 5.5) for the generation and shawn.'s Small plays as style reference.
