Open-source AnyShot: a Claude agent acts as cinematographer, cuts 6-hour renders to 3 minutes
Scobleizer · x · 2026-11-02
Developer apekshik released AnyShot, an open-source (MIT) "AI cinematographer" for 3D scenes that pairs with their scene-builder AnyScene.
- Speed: a single walkthrough takes 6 hours to render locally on an RTX 5070 Ti; AnyShot fans the job out to up to 100 RTX 5090s on fal and finishes in 3 minutes.
- More than a render farm: a Claude agent works the set like a DP — planning every camera move from plain-language shot directions (e.g. "slow push along the counter, rack focus to the register"), assigning lens and ease, pulling focus, checking every frame for clearance against walls and furniture, and blocking shots with quick previews.
- Works standalone on any Blender scene; scene in, directed shots out.
