How Claude Code made a 54-second 4K60 launch film from raw screen recordings

A developer describes how Claude Code produced their app's 54-second 4K60 launch film from real screen recordings — no video editor, no stock footage. Claude recorded the app, cut to the beat, synthesized sound effects, mixed, and rendered; the human only reviewed drafts and picked shots.
What actually mattered:
- Record at 2x with no cursor in frame; log moves/clicks and draw a larger cursor afterward so it glides onto each click
- Beat-grid the music first: find BPM and the drop, make every scene a whole number of beats
- One continuous take sped up 2-4x — speed reads as energy, hard cuts read as edits
- Synthesize every click/whoosh in code, no licensing worries
- Start the voiceover at 0.0s; a silent first second loses the scroll
- Rate shots yourself with a quick 1-5 star page instead of letting AI guess
- Never stretch a 1024px image to 4K; upscale full-screen assets first
- Review a 540p draft; render the 4K master only after approval
Every image was generated locally on a 16 GB M1 Pro.
