AI-text detection study: SEO slop prompts get caught every time regardless of retries
amplifiedamp · x · 2026-11-02
A detection experiment, done with input from maxspero of Pangram (who reviewed but did not edit the results), used prompts filtered from WildChat for open-ended generation (coding excluded).
The key finding: effectiveness varied mostly by topic. Prompts asking the model to write SEO slop — e.g. "write SEO optimized description... at least 5000 characters" or batch article generation for keyword pages — were always caught by the AI-text detector regardless of retry count, while other topics offered more room to slip through.
