DeepSeek open-sources dsh-superagent prototype: Router dispatches parallel Workers, p95 task time nearly halved

DeepSeek's Harness team published a design essay, 'Exploring Super-agent Design', alongside an MIT-licensed prototype called dsh-superagent-prototype.
- Architecture: a persistent Router session handles conversations and dispatch decisions; each work item gets its own Worker session and directory, running in parallel without shared context. It listens to GitHub events (optionally Feishu), often returning pull requests, with a local panel surfacing only decisions needing humans.
- Philosophy: minimize human attention — the team argues people can follow only 3-5 agent sessions at once, so attention, not model capability, is the bottleneck. Agents confirm once, stay quiet, and speak only with a result, question, or failure; merely inferred work defaults to observe-only.
- Numbers (self-reported): in simulated runs (300 messages, 20 real requests), the slowest 5% of tasks finished in 15.7 minutes vs 29.5 minutes for a single-session baseline. Real coding quality wasn't measured and there's no independent comparison with Claude Code or Codex.
- Caveats: explicitly research code, not production-ready, differs from the internal system, which reportedly already handles bug reproduction, code review, and Harness work.
