Dev ships a survivors-like extraction shooter in 10 days with Claude Code: 535 commits, no image generators

A developer built and shipped Aurora: Salvage, a survivors-like extraction shooter, in 10 days with Claude Code — 535 commits (513 co-authored by Claude: 447 Opus 5.5, 64 Sonnet 5.5), 61k lines of GDScript in Godot 4.7 and 149 test files, free on itch for Windows/Mac/Linux.
- Workflow: brainstorm → written spec → step-by-step plan (superpowers plugin); Claude ran plans with subagents in up to 3 parallel git worktrees, testing each task
- GodotPrompter skills made Claude name the pattern it chose and rejected; a capture harness fed screenshots/video back so Claude could see its work
- Art without image generators: 16k lines of Blender Python built, rigged, animated and rendered every alien and boss from primitives; audio is CC0/CC-BY
- Releases automated via GitHub Actions to itch; trailer cut by Python+ffmpeg to the music's beats
- Lesson learned: a test run with the wrong save-dir flag wiped real saves twice — every harness run now gets its own folder
