Pause advocates pressed: how do you decide AI risk is low enough to resume?
panickssery · x · 2026-11-01
@panickssery poses three pointed questions to AI pause advocates: (1) what's the plan for deciding when risk is low enough to proceed, (2) what method determines it's time to resume, and (3) if we had paused years ago, what research would have prepared us for current or near-future models? A direct challenge to the operationalizability of the pause position.
