Wild makes adding friends intentionally hard: both must be online, like key signing parties
nathanborror · x · 2026-11-01
Developer nathanborror explains Wild's design choice: adding friends requires both parties online simultaneously — a consequence of its fully serverless, peer-to-peer architecture (no servers, no company) that also provides trust guarantees reminiscent of PGP key signing parties. The iOS app acts as a sidekick to an always-on orchestrator agent running on a Mac mini.
