OpenAI's Astra 5.5 runs massive code patches just to list Devcon side events
devanshmehta · x · 2026-11-01
Developer devanshmehta shared screenshots of asking OpenAI's Astra 5.5 to compile a list of Devcon side events. The agent went on to apply numerous code patches, run parsing scripts, search 30+ websites, scrape Luma event pages, and cross-check date conflicts and renamed listings before producing a filterable catalog.
He suggests OpenAI should cache such results so anyone with the same query gets the answer instantly instead of every user re-running the whole computation.
