A visual language for navigating agent swarm traces and observability
strickvl · x · 2026-10-31
The author tackles the observability problem of agent swarms with a small visual language for compressing information: complex at first glance, but useful for anyone working with swarm traces to navigate different views without overloading the UI with text.
The underlying concern is trust: an agent's own account of what it did may be wrong, and swarm failure modes are scattered in many places—so he draws on a historian/humanities mindset to question how much to trust signals from agents and agent teams within a swarm.
