Mantiq: 10,008 agents in 556 teams race to build the same Lisp interpreter
victormustar · x · 2026-10-31
A retweet of hyz317's multi-agent project "Mantiq": in a "Lisp bake-off," 10,008 agents formed 556 teams, each building the same small Lisp interpreter in Python from one spec, with a judge picking the best. Screenshots show a single run using 1 planner, 16 workers and 1 judge finishing in 30 min for $0.18, with detailed observability into 189 inter-agent messages, refused pushes, and tasks that never landed. Project page, paper and code are all public.
