DeepSeek team publishes super-agent design: tasks span IM and GitHub without human handoff

Yuguang Qiao from DeepSeek's Deep Harness team published an English article, "Exploring Super-agent Design: Towards a More Autonomous Agent System" (Oct 31, 2026), laying out architectural ideas for more autonomous agents.
The problem: current multi-agent designs are still organized around single Sessions. Users juggling parallel tasks must manually switch between up to 3-5 active Sessions; a single task's ceiling is the model's capability, but the multi-task ceiling is human attention.
Super-agent proposal: decouple the agent from a single managed Session, turning it into a continuous entity that retains context across Sessions and advances several complex tasks simultaneously without interference.
Real examples running internally on DeepSeek Harness:
- A single dev task progresses continuously across IM and GitHub: a font-settings request raised in chat leads the agent to open a PR, iterate on maintainer/designer feedback, and merge;
- Silently monitoring a high-traffic group chat, the agent identifies a bug no one @mentions it about (Electron misreading clicks as double-clicks), auto-reproduces it, finds the root cause, and submits a fix PR.
The article is an engineering-practice exploration, not a description of currently available DeepSeek Harness features.
